My first "real" quilt was a Merry Mayhem Mystery Quilt. Since I didn't know what it was going to look like, I wasn't scared! Turned out nice, and I'm very proud of it. Before that, I had only sewn squares together, with nothing really made of them. No matching colors, no uniform sizes. Really bad, but practice on the 1/4" seam.
