I have always liked Fiskars. I sure don't use them very much since I acquired a rotary cutter, though!
I had a friend that worked in a studio where scissors were thrown around like any other toolbox tool, and he said Fiskars fell apart.
I don't let anyone use my sewing scissors for anything else, so we have a $5.00 pair in the kitchen drawer for everything else. They came from Wal-Mart, and I never expected them to last, but they must be ten years old now. They have a grip like Fiskars.
