I've found that a good place to get quilting magazines, if you're not wedded to the idea of having the latest edition, is various thrift shops. I found a bin of magazines for 10 cents each. They were mostly one to two years old, but still full of ideas. This would give you an idea of what the magazines are like without spending much.
