Disgusting, smelly(stinking), expensive habit, but have to admit I sometimes miss the commeradity(sp?) of smoking with a fellow smoker. Have gained over 20 lbs and am so unhappy about that and consider going back to smoking but so far am hanging in there.
This happened to me, too -- several times in fact! Every time I quit, I gained weight, so I started smoking again. And then didn't lose the weight. So please, please PLEASE DO NOT GO BACK TO SMOKING! It is NOT worth it! I finally quit for good in 1998, when I married a life-long non-smoker (never smoked a cig in his life, and both his parents were heavy smokers, and his mom died of lung cancer at 59). Now when I'm around smokers (2 of my 3 kids smoke), the smell gags me. After being in their houses a while, even my skin stinks. Yuck. They also both have constant "colds" and they're always broke. Hmmm, $5/pack, wonder if that has anything to do with it. OK, now I'll get off MY soapbox. They say there's nothing worse than an ex-smoker!
