Hi Debo. Someone in this group had mentioned a site, www.cosman.nl/ that has a free download of Quilt Assist. You can draw your own blocks for any size and you can also print out paper piecing patterns. I have made several of the FWS blocks using this site.
You set the block to be 6". In the print menu you will check "set seam allowances 1/4". When you click Quick Preview you will see the 1/4" seam allowances on each paper piece section,.
I have downloaded the Quilt Assistant program. I found it very easy to use. My question. Do I need to set my blocks as 6 1/2" blocks when I set this up? I tried 6" blocks, but it did not give me the 1/4" border around .... it came out 6" and that was it. I find this a little confusing. The FW quilt blocks say they are 6", and yes they are when sewn together, but when we make them they come out 6 1/2". I hope this makes sense!
