Depends on what kind of oven it is....I'm a bit like Pookie...but if a disaster occurs I use a low toxicity cleaner, elbow grease and spread newspaper all around in case of drips. If your oven racks are a nightmare, get a big plastic bin bag (black or dark in colour, smother the racks in cloudy ammonia tie up the bag and leave in the sun for a couple of hours, then rinse...they really come up well. Be careful though...ammonia fumes are not good for you so maybe wear a mask and do use in a well ventilated area.
