I do mostly country colors. I use burgandys no reds. I use dark blues like navys and dusty blues. No bright colors. No batiks. I use hunter greens mustard yellows blacks and browns. I try to use chocolate browns. I use dark to med purples. You don't want brights or fabrics with large swirls in the pattern. When I use pinks I use prints that are not loud. Cream backgrounds and white or light blue backgrounds. Look at Civil War collections and you can see alot of the colors.
