Went to look at this small exhibition the other day.
The group consists only of 7 ladies, and their work is beautiful. Everything is done by hand, none of them uses a machine at all. As always the photos don't really do justice to the quilting and the applique work, which is stunning. Unfortunately the sun through the big windows prevented some photos.
It was in the Abbey in the town of Brantome (about 40 minutes from us). The town is an island on the river Dronne, and is known as the Venice of the Perigord. The Benedictine Abbey was founded by in 769, has a very interesting history, and has the oldest belltower in France. I have put a few pix of the Abbey etc at the end.
