On a trip to new York in April, I went to city quilter. and loved it. I bought some fabric and a couple of notions. It is pricey, compared to most of US prices, but I think I am right in presuming that fabric is a little on the high side in Aus, I know it is more expensive here in UK than the US. It is a lovely store, and the people also were lovely. Well worth a visit. There is also an area I tink is called the Garment District, which has lots of fabric stores of all kinds. I remember a few years ago I was there and trudged round the area. Although there wern't any quilting shops, a lot of the stores did hav some quilting fabrics at really good prices. In fact it was 9 years ago and I have just started on a project using one of the fabrics I bought there and it brougt back memories of my trip.
