If your fabric is starched before you cut it, your cuts will be more accurate. I use Mary Ellen's or somethingelse I cant name right now that doesnt flake.
Spray basting is done when you layer the quilt so you dont have to pin. I think there are directions on how to do it on here or on the can. Sullivan, 505 are common brands.
