Welcome, so glad you joined us. Personally speaking, I don't think I would recommend paper piecing to a new quilter. I think an easy pattern would be best, there are tons of easy patterns out there. Paper piecing is one of those methods I think, that you either love it or hate it. I love it, but it's not for everyone. If you'll tell us what you're having problems with, I'm sure you'll get lots of help on fixing the problems, also pictures would probably help along with the description of the problems. Please don't give up yet.
