I am old to quilting but new to stabilizers. I just discovered a fantastic stabilizer called Sulky Paper Solvy. I am doing and outline stitch on some pieces to go in a baby quilt and stitched on top of it and then put it in water. Fantastic! I never knew such a thing existed! I guess I need to get out and mingle more! It was around $8.00 for 12 sheets. Thats the best part of all. You can put it in the copier and copy a preprinted design to it. I thought that you had to sew w/out thread on the paper pattern then stitch and then hope and pray the paper comes off w/out ruining the stitches. I guess you can tell I don't get out among other quilters much. LOL I don't belong to auild and had never tried this, didn't know it existed until today. So I thought maybe somebody besides me didn't know about it and I'd pass the info along.
