buy the necessities first and add as you go along. There are rotary cutters that you have to press a lever like handle to expose the blade for cutting and after you cut the blade automatically returns to it protected position. I really would suggest this kind of cutter because the blades are really thin and could do a lot of damage if you get cut by one.
