I have some fabric from my mom's stash...she wasn't a quilter but she had some cotton fabric...so most of it is 20-40 years old. I also "inherited" some fabric and hand-embroidered quilt blocks from my DH's aunt (an occasional quilter) after she went into a nursing home. She was still doing handwork up until about five years ago, but some of her stash is from the 1940s.
