i have some "skinner's satin" that was my grandmother's--i suspect that it's around a century old. my mom was born in 1917, and she remembered it being around as long as she had been. it has the identifying "skinner's satin" woven into the selvedge. i keep it with an old advert from the skinner's satin company.
