Not long after I started quilting, probably about 1990 i made so many placemats using that method, I had sent them to Florida, Colorado, Wyoming, Ohio, and Arizona. They are fun to make and addicitive. One variation I came up with was to use two fabrics, USing the same fabric on each side of a wider center piece. That way I had a continous ring of fabric. rather than the spider web look. Have fun making them, and I hope you do well at the craft fair
