My oldest fabric was inherited from my Grandmother. As I am the only grandchild that quilts I got her stash. I found one piece in a paper bag that has the receipt for 1932 and it was 6 yards of gold lame, the real stuff. I don’t think that I could bring myself to cut into it. My son took push pins and used the fabric with several twist and attached it to the wall in the entry way in my house and then hung some of my mini quilts in the open places. I have tried to get a picture but the flash makes it look like fireworks and you can’t see the real effect. Maybe a new camera is in order.
