I miss INDIANA storms. Here in NC we don't get the really good thunderstorms here. I used to love to sit on covered back porch at night and enjoy the storms. My dogs thought that I was nuts. Glad that you are getting some rain. I know that it has been really dry.

Unfortunately - or fortunately - we were in a SEVERE drought but that ended two weeks ago when we received over 23 inches in four days - 9 inches in one day. The county that we live in considered the western edge of the Great Dismal Swamp and we have the Merchants Millpond less than 4 miles away, so we had no local flooding - at least in our immediate area. However, when the tide came in, downtown Gatesville flooded and took 4 days to receed all of the way. That is one good thing about having sand instead of real dirt - the water seems to flow right through to the water table.
