I was at my LQS a month or two ago when they were having a sale. They had 4 or 5 Moda scrap bags on clearance. In the bags are basically a pound(I think) of strips of fabric. Think jelly roll, but they include selvages, the strips vary in width and the fabrics might not all be from the same line. I grabbed this bag and in it were a bunch of varying width strips. I took them home and threw them on my Accuquilt Studio and cut them all to 2 1/2" wide in a jiffy. This would have taken me forever, otherwise. I sewed them all up and quilted it with a variegated pink and dark pink Aurifil thread. I did a serpentine stitch. I added a similar colored backing and binding fabric from my stash. Cheap, as the Moda fabric was on clearance and fast.
