I have purchased fabric at WM way back some of which was quite nice and some of which was suitable for dog beds. However, there a lot of quilters who just can't pay $9 or more a yard and this would tap a market that has been shut out. I have a friend who haunts the resale shops for yardage and clothing that she uses for her quilts. Joanne's has great on line sales. I've stumbled onto their web site and email list and have purchased a lot of fabric that I never intended to purchase and so far it has all been quite decent. All I ask is that the woof and warp be on 90 degree angle, the print also be straight along the weave and that the dye be reasonably stable. I have had some pricey stuff that didn't meet those criteria.
