I too would like to do art quilting but at the moment I'm committed to getting one quilt done that became a diseaster when my FM machine quit working and I started to take the quilt off the rollers with only inches that needed to be quilted.
Well then I demanded and got a replacement till mine is repaired and now I can't get the quilt back on so I'm FM on my piecing machine and it is queen size quilt and heavy and I finally hooped it in large embroidery hoop to hang on to it but it is the biggest work out ever. I can't quilt too long it is exhausting. Then I have 4 more in line 2 ready for FM and one almost done to be FM and one just a gleam in my eye a very special quilt for my daughter who likes KoKoPelli and I found a pattern for him.
