There are probably different reasons for different people to buy the vintage machines. I do believe it is the nostalgia of them, for one. I also think that some of these older Singers make a much better stitch than some of the new machines. Many of the older machines are made to last while the present day machines aren't. I enjoy looking at my 66-16 and sit down and play with it just for the heck of it. Some times it is just different strokes for different folks......although I do see that many buy them just for the novelty of them.
