Self-taught. My Mother was a great sewer and tried for years to get me interested in learning to no avail. Then I got married and decided I wanted to sew. Got a machine, a how-to book, a pattern and followed directions, frequently referring to the book. Did pretty much the same thing with quilting. I did watch several years of Simply Quilts when it was on HGTV, though!! There is still much I have not even attempted to do and may never learn!!
