I LOVE playing with fabrics leftover from my projects. I kind of challenge myself to make at least one thing with the leftovers, before putting the scraps away. So, from my Star Bouquet quilt ( I posted it here http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-68187-1.htm ), I made this small table runner.

I then thought I'll continue practicing my FMQ on it. Sigh, I can't think quick enough is my biggest problem, I need to plan my needle routes better. I quilted with thread that would show on purpose, to learn. This was the first time that I did FMQ on a "real" quilt, I've been practicing on muslin sandwiches. I tried stippiling and looping. I still need MUCH practice.

Do you find it easier to mark your quilt for FMQ? I may need to try that.
