If used correctly, duckbills help you to not cut material accidentally whilst getting very close in the cutting. I have found them just as useful as the curved scissors. These scissors are so inexpensive overseas that I don't think some are aware of our need to make choices in the name of finances or economy. I would try to work out how often you would be likely to use both and then make the choice. Hope you are not sorry. either way.
