OK, friends, the very first handmade quilt that I remember ever seeing was a flower basket quilt, I am not sure where I had seen it, perhaps a childhood friend's house. I still vividly remember the beautiful colorful quilt.

Any who, since I got into quilting, I've been yearning to make one. And since I am trying to get into applique, I thought it was as good as time as any to try a flower basket quilt. So I made this one flower basket wall quilt to hang in my sewing room. I used Eleanor's Burn Grandmother's Garden Quilt book for the basket and flower pattern and instructions.

My question is, what do you all think of the border? Is it too light? Or do you think binding it with a dark color will be enough to give it a complete look?

All opinions and suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I like Eleanor's Burn way to do the fusible applique, you actually do turn the edges under.
