I have a 440. I am happy with the sewing aspect of it. The embroidery component, however, is very cumbersome and not very user friendly. I have a Janome 350E exclusively for embroidery. If I could do it over again, I would purchase the Janome 6600 (excellent machine) or Janome Horizon along with the 350E. I like the stand alone features so that I can sew and embroider at the same time.
