Darcene, when you pp are there any fabric prep hints you could share. I have just taken apart # 24 because of mixing up the squares. I had therm all layed out but for some reason they were backwards. UGhhhhhhhhhhh :-([/quote]
I iron and lightly starch the fabric.....BUT, the problem you are having is not with the fabric placement...it is with the way the pattern prints...be sure to choose a mirror image option if your printing program offers it...the pattern will print "right side up" but since you are actually working on the back side of the pattern the pattern (and any fabrics you use) will be reversed. On this quilt, I have not bothered to use the mirror image option because it hasn't been an issue for me if the fabric placement is reversed, but further down the line I may use the mirror image printing option if I want a specific fabric in a specific spot. So far, I just compare the uncut pp pattern to the photo in the book and mark the various pieces with dark, medium, light, or blue, tan, black, etc. and then I cut the sections apart and go from there.
Let me know if you need additional pointers....I will gladly share all that I have learned (most of it the hard way:roll: )
