My only question is, can the painted block be washed?
The fabric paints I used said not washable. (?)
The embroidery is all by hand - a learning process as I go.

I don't use fabric paints as such. I use my acrylic paints and add a fabric medium to the paint as I work. The Jo Sonja textile medium may be laundered or dry cleaned, but as I have used beading and silk ribbon work, regardless of what size it ends up, it probably will be hung and not used or washed.

I'm actually not normally a crazy quilt person either - a bit too busy for me - but I have found that once I started the block the compulsion to keep adding a bit more just took over. Can't seem to help myself - as I reach for the beads, again. :D
