I was taught that to create was to make something out of nothing - Hence, God created the Heaven and the Earth.
I like to think of myself as an amateur artisan, with a love for art in the quilting sense. The design, the putting together of, and the end result is art. Whether it is perfect or not is not important. What is important is that we love what we did, we feel like we accomplished something that, one time in our life, we looked at a quilt and thought "In our dreams"!!!!!
I can look at a fat quarter and know exactly what I am going to use it for and what the pattern is going to be. When is an altogether different thing. But it is here and it is mine and I will get to it when I can.
I think we are all artists in our own right. Each one of us has a different plan of what we are going to do and what road we are going to take to accomplish it! That is an artist! God bless us all! Edie
