Hi Daisy...I haven't pieced the block you are referring to, but I'm sure that its possible to piece it without EQ6. EQ is only a computer software program that helps you design quilts. Some patterns are drawn with the EQ program, thus you can easily print them out. I'm assuming that all the other ladies have bought the CD with the quilt patterns on them. You will need to purchase the pattern for the quilt in some form. That doesn't mean that you must print the foundation pattern on your computer. You can trace it onto a light tracing paper and use that as your foundation pattern. You could draw your own patterns using something as simple as your Paint program on your computer. There are many ways to do it...you don't have to have EQ. Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun!
