I'm glad you're enjoying the BOM. I like this one too. The checkerboard looks as if it would be tedious, but it goes together surprisingly fast. Instead of cutting 1 3/4-inch squares as the instructions say, I cut 1 3/4-inch strips and sew the light and dark together, then cut the two-patches from the strips. It goes much faster, and it's more accurate. Even if the strips are different lengths, I just chain-piece them together, adding one or the other as I come to the end of the previous strip. Works great.
