Our guild does a Fat Quarter exchange based on a little story I wrote several years ago based on the "Wright Family." Everyone brings a fat quarter wrapped or in a bag and we stand in a huge circle while someone reads the little story. Every time she says the word "left," you hand your gift to the left, and when she says "right"--to the right. It's fun and the gift travels quite a bit around the circle. We have it in conjunction with a potluck. I know there are lots of poems (like the Quilter's Night Before Christmas) that could probably be adapted to a skit... (The little story is about a woman named "Wright" who quilts.)
