I don't know if this poster is for real or not:-)

Family stories include a great aunt who was a tea drinking member of the W.C.T.U. Can you imagine women going from door to door to talk to residents about the evils of alcohol?! I'm dead serious about this having been a reality in the early teens and 1920's. I hope this was a staged photo op as these gals are creepy!!!

Dad as a teenager used to wash a Lincoln owned by the local newspaper publisher. The car had oversized springs and would arrive at the publisher's residence loaded down with "spirits" during the prohibition days. Times were hard and people overlooked the obvious. One of my friends swears that people in a certain neighborhood in town made their fortunes brewing beverages. I don't doubt that at all :)
