This is a quilt that I long arm quilted for a customer who is a FABULOUS appliquer and really outdid herself on this one! It had nine blocks and palm tree border all around the edge plus volcanos in each corner. She asked for a bubble type background fill along with some quilting in each of the blocks and the palm trees and volcanoes. She also asked me to randomly quilt some little pineapples and hibiscus flowers on the top also. I drew out the pineapples and hibiscus on golden threads paper with a chalk pencil and then quilted right through it and then tore off the paper. When her friend from her applique group saw it quilted, she asked me to do hers too.
