I just made my hubby a pillow from the leftover tumbling blocks. Sewed the pillow by hand - the quilt by machine. I did the old-fashioned method with inset seams. It is not hard - just tedious because you have to start each seam 1/4" in from the edge and stop 1/4" from the edge.
