About 3 months ago I recieved an email from a woman I did not know. She said she had been in a Goodwill store in another state and had purchased a handmade quilt for $20. Being a quilter herself she looked for and found a label on the back. It had my name on it and she wanted to know if I was THAT person. I replied yes and she asked me if I would like her to return the quilt to me. All she wanted was for me to reimburse her for what she paid for the quilt and the postage and she would mail the quilt to me before I sent her the money. So YES, she sent the quilt and YES, I did send the money, and YES, it was a quilt I had made for a friend's son and daughter-in-law as a wedding gift. (the couple has recently moved to another country for the next 2 years to teach there).
My question is do I say ANYTHING to my friend on the off chance they misplaced the quilt in a bag of things they gave to Goodwill before they moved.
My friend lives in another state and we keep in contact but we are not close friends.
I was just delighted that another quilter found it and was kind enough to ask if I wanted it back.
