I have been through the chemo treatments and I would suggest a quilt ( but maybe a little larger then lap size). A bag to carry her quilt in and maybe something to occupy her time while she is in treatment. If she likes to read...give her a good book. If she like to crochet... maybe some beautiful yarn, etc. I'll keep your friend in my prayers.
