Oh, I feel your pain! Though to a lesser degree, I am sure. I was visiting my brother and sister-in-law once and when I was using the "facilities" that were under construction I spied a handknitted flower face cloth I had gifted the previous Christmas wadded in a corner covered with dried on caulk! I'm sure it was my brother who grabbed the cloth as a "rag", but in my book they are not "worthy" of handmade items. I may reevaluate in a few years!
