very nice job. i think curves on straight lines and vice verse are always the most interesting. you have straight lines.

having said that and knowing you're a starter, why not mark out circles on the blocks with a washable or disappearing pen using a dish for the template? that will give you some practice on round shapes. on the sashing you might choose a simple curved line, the kind that you'd use for a vine, but without the leaves, again a practice curve. if you haven't chosen a backing yet, choose a print so that you don't feel you have to be perfect, and i used variegated thread for my first few quilts.

because the colors are so rich, whatever you do, it will be a beauty.
