I have a postage stamp top pieced by my great-grandmother- who passed away in 1912. I also have a quilt that I pieced by hand while lying in a hospital bed in 1996 (I lost the use of my right leg due to a spinal injury) I was soooo bored. My husband cut out all the pieces. I started to hand quilt it as well, but then I had surgery, recovered and never looked back. It's half quilted in a closet. Not the oldest, though my great gran's might be!
