Suit yourself and don't expect everyone, even a sister, to agree with your choices. If I see something I don't like, I feel it adds character but I wouldn't say that out loud. My sister automatically doesn't like what I like but we look past such things. Do what you want to do and use the uglies, they make the other pieces look better.
