They are 12, 12 1/2" blocks with sashing. They are a little smaller that a twin size bed. I actually made my block about 2" square larger because my kids are 6'!

I'm wondering how big do you make lap quilts? I don't know the difference between a lap and a throw quilt. I want to make my brother something using patriotic fabrics I've been collecting.
