Our grateful American Government pays them so magnificently that most of them qualify for food stamps. Then recently some nut in the white house actually wanted to make them pay for their own medical care, "because they were volunteers and knew just what they were getting into."
Yes, I'm an old lady but I will continue to buy a meal or a snack or whatever I can afford for these marvelous young folks.
I shop at the Navy Commissary and the NEX. It really saddens me to see these young ladies with children having to pay for their groceries with food stamps. I have even seen a few, after their items were rung up, have to return a few items because they could not afford them. There is something wrong when our men and women put their lives on the line for our country and we don't even pay them a living wage!!!!
