This is a little late probably because I'm sure you are finished by now. I use wonder under to baste with. I cut strips about 1 1/2 and then just cut random amounts out of that strip. Then layer fabrics. You cannot feel the wonder under at all.
I have done this in the past; but I can feel the difference in the areas where the wonder under is. I found my basting spray so all worked out in the end. I am using Roxanne's basting glue for the binding and love the outcome.
