I googled Spider Web quilts as this is a new pattern to me, and I really like yours as compared to many that are out there. If I were to do one, I'd definitely go with a monochromatic scheme. The ones with the obvious squares and stars just don't do much for me.

One lady made a quilt by the same pattern with 30's fabric. They do not show up like this purple one does.
