I need to go to more garage sales! And I found the pattern in Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns. It is #2812 and it has several names. The earliest being "Album" published in the Ohio Farmer 12/6/1894. It also was called "Puzzle" in McCall's circa 1930, "Five Crosses", "The Basket Weave Friendship Quilt" and the "Friendship Quilt" in the KC Star. I am loving this book! It is checked out of the library, so I might just have to track me down a copy.
