Pippi Longstocking, a dinosaur and and tiny butterfly were our first group. Mom accompanied them w/ the butterfly riding in a wagon. All groups had parents along, waiting in the street. We had 44 or so. I actually counted this year. Several older boys who's voices had already deepened, and made me wonder to myself, "Aren't you a bit old for doing this?" But I gave them candy anyway. What I really don't care for is no costume, mask at all. Just a bag held out for their candy treat. Only had one of those.
