We make them the same way we make regular mashed potatoes. Boil the potatoes, mash with some milk or other liquid (we use non-dairy rice milk), (non-dairy) butter and cinnamon if you want it. We usually use an electric mixer to make the potatoes smooth and creamy, with no chunks.
