Hello! I'm in the process of making rag quilts for Christmas. I have two started--both for boys and so I'm able to use several half yards equally between the two quilts.
I also need to make one "girly" quilt and want to have a similar variety of fabrics. However, I don't want to buy half yards and have too much left over when I don't have any other use for the fabric. I'm sure there must be a pattern using fat quarters that would lend itself to a rag quilt. I am searching and will continue to do so, but thought I'd put the issue before you guys, too. Maybe you've made something with FQs you think would make a good rag quilt? The desired size is (roughly) 50" square or so (doesn't really have to be square). Thanks so much for any suggestions! :)
Edited to add: I know that I could cut small squares from the fat quarter, but I guess I'm looking for a pattern in which I can use bigger pieces and not lose as much fabric to seams. Does that make sense?
